Losharn is a post partum doula in Launceston, and she has engaged me to photograph the birth of her second child that is due in the next month
Losharn is having a home birth at the birth house here in Launceston so the whole family will be present at the birth. It’s was important to meet everyone before the birth so I’m a familiar face when I arrive in the birth space.
So I brought my camera along and we went for a walk up the road and took some photographs to document this family of three before they become four.
….and in the process we got to know each other a little bit better.
I’m always so honoured to be invited into a woman’s sacred birth space and witness the start of a new chapter in a family’s life.
